Cinnamon is one of the oldest known spices, which has been mentioned in the Bible and Sanskrit manuscripts. Cinnamon comes from a small, evergreen tree. Cinnamon itself is the inner bark of the tree. The inner bark is rolled up and made into the swirls of cinnamon bark we often see today.
Jayshree Cinnamon has a fine consistency and is very pungent and aromatic. Cinnamon has commonly been used as a sweetener but can also be added to meat stews, especially lamb. Jayshree Cinnamon can be added to cakes, puddings, cookies, breads and meat. Cinnamon also makes a nice addition to vegetables, stewed fruit, and curries.
